8 March is one of the busiest days of the year for flowers, so what matters most is not the variety but ordering in time. Below: when to order, how many stems to choose for a mother, a colleague or a teacher, and which flowers outlast the holiday.

How it works

How not to be left without a bouquet

On a peak day the scarce things are choice and a convenient time. The order that works:

  1. A few days ahead: choose the bouquet

There is still plenty to choose from. You pick a variety and a number of stems, and the price per stem is the same at any quantity — no wholesale thresholds to work out.

  2. The day before: lock in the delivery window

Demand for delivery peaks on the day itself, so agree a convenient time in advance rather than in the last hour.

  3. On the day: a photo and a call

We send a photo of the bouquet before dispatch, and the courier calls before arriving — so the flowers end up in her hands, not at the door.

How many stems to choose

The number already says half of what a card would. The guides we suggest most often:

  • 15 stems

    15

    A gesture of attention

For a colleague, a teacher or a mother when you want something restrained. Easy to carry, easy to put in a vase.

  • 25 stems

    25

    A generous armful

The classic for a mother, a wife or a friend. Looks rich even in a single variety, and needs nothing added.

    €825 in allRose Athena

  • 51 stems

    51

A gift for the whole room

For the closest person. One price per stem works for you: you pay for flowers, not for “florist magic” around them.

What outlasts the holiday

If the bouquet should last longer than a day, choose by vase life (when the variety is in stock):

Chrysanthemums
10–14 days — a dependable choice when the flowers must last to the end of the month.
Dianthus
10–14 days; the stems hold their shape and need no special care.
Eustoma
7–10 days; softer-looking than roses and easy on the eye.
Roses
5–7 days — the classic that everyone recognises at a glance.

What to give to whom

For a mother or a grandmother, flowers that last and have no strong scent are a good fit: chrysanthemums, eustoma. Such a bouquet will stand until the weekend, when the whole family gathers.

For a colleague or a manager a small, restrained bouquet of one variety is enough: it needs no bucket-sized vase and does not make things awkward. If you are collecting from a team, one generous bouquet beats five small ones.

For a wife or a girlfriend it often has to be “the one” — and a single variety in quantity wins: 25 or 51 stems look more expensive than a mixed bouquet and cost exactly as many stems as you choose.

What to write on the card

We add a handwritten card free of charge — just write the text in the order comment. A few starting points:

  • “Happy 8 March! Thank you for being you.”
  • “Mum, you are always there when it matters most. Happy spring!”
  • “Happy holiday — may the flowers last longer than the good mood.”
  • “Thank you for your support this year. Happy 8 March!”

Questions and answers

When should I order flowers for 8 March?

A few days before the holiday is ideal, while there is still a choice of varieties and a convenient delivery time. Online ordering opens a week before the date; if you want to reserve flowers earlier, call us.

How many stems for a mother, a colleague or a teacher?

For a colleague or a teacher 15 stems is usually enough, for a mother or a wife 25, for the closest person or a big celebration 51. The price per stem is the same at any quantity, so you pay only for the flowers you choose.

Can I order delivery for a specific time?

Yes, you choose a delivery window at checkout. Demand peaks on the day, so the most convenient windows are worth securing in advance.

Which flowers last the longest?

Chrysanthemums and dianthus last 10–14 days in a vase, eustoma 7–10, roses 5–7. Which varieties are in stock depends on the warehouse — today’s are in the catalogue.

Do you add a card, and will I see the bouquet before delivery?

Yes: a handwritten card is free, and before dispatch we send a photo of the bouquet so you can see exactly what the recipient will get.
