How it worksThe second Sunday of May, and why the date moves
Mother’s Day in Ukraine has no fixed number. It falls on the second Sunday of May, so in any year it lands somewhere between 8 and 14 May. The page shows the next date and the countdown; all you need to keep in mind is the rule.
If you know Mothering Sunday from the UK, note that it is a different day: it falls in March or early April, so do not go by that date.
A Sunday changes what makes a good bouquet. In many families people sit down at one table that day, and the flowers stay in view. What works is not the biggest bouquet but one that does not hide the person opposite and does not compete with lunch for scent. Chrysanthemum stems are typically 50–70 cm, eustoma 50–60 and freesia 40–50, so for a dining table it is worth trimming them shorter.
Nor is it 8 March. That day is for every woman around you, so its bouquets come out “for everyone”. Mother’s Day is about one person: choose what she likes to see at home, not what is fashionable.

Give the address and a delivery window
Delivery across Kyiv takes 2–3 hours, and you pick the window at checkout. The classic trap of a gift sent from afar is a courier at an empty door, so find out when she will be home; if it is a surprise, ask a relative to be there. - 10–14 days in a vase, a light herbal scent. The calmest choice for a mother who does not want to check daily whether the flowers are wilting.

- 10–14 days, a light spicy scent. Stems are typically 40–60 cm, so the bouquet comes out low and table-friendly.
- Eustoma
- 7–10 days, almost no scent. Suits a mother who is sensitive to fragrance, or a room where lunch is already scenting the air.
- Freesia
- 5–7 days and a noticeable scent that fills the room. For a mother who likes the house to smell of celebration.
- Roses
- 5–7 days; the scent depends on the variety. The classic for someone who loves exactly these.
How many stems for your mother

If you do not know her taste
First find out two things: whether she complains about strong scents, and whether her vase is tall or low. Ask her or, if it is a surprise, a relative.
If there is no one to ask, take a single variety without a sharp scent: eustoma or chrysanthemums. It is harder to go wrong with them than with fragrant freesia, and the photo we send before dispatch will show you how it turned out.
If she has an allergy, that is a question for a doctor, not a florist; all we can tell you is which variety smells less.
For a mother who simply wants roses, get roses and do not argue. A single variety in one shade looks more polished than a mix, and 5–7 days is the normal span for that classic.

Helping the bouquet last its full span

- The cut
- Trim the stem ends on the diagonal by 2 cm with a sharp knife or secateurs, not blunt scissors.
- The water
- A clean vase and cool water. Change the water daily and rinse the vase each time.
- The leaves
- Strip any leaves that would sit under water: they rot first and shorten the whole bouquet’s life.
- The spot
- Away from radiators and direct sun. Warmth shortens vase life, and a cooler spot keeps the flowers longer.

We deliver across Kyiv, and Kyiv addresses are the only ones we can promise. If she lives in another city and a relative is driving to her from Kyiv, we can deliver the bouquet to their Kyiv address; for the road, choose chrysanthemums or dianthus, which last longest in a vase.
Can several children send one bouquet?
Yes. Place one order and put all the names on the card: you write the text in the order comment, and we write the card by hand. For a large family, a larger number of stems of one variety works well, and she can put them all in a single vase.
